Cole is an incredibly angry and irascible person because of several hardships in his past. Before Cole arrived on the island, his father beat him up to the point in which he was numb. Nobody treated Cole with good intentions, so all Cole ever knew was hurt and anger. Since Cole never knew beauty and love, his personality matched his surroundings. In conclusion, Cole is angry because his father and everyone else never showed him love, or compassion.

In your opinion how does Cole change from the beginning of the book to the end?
ReplyDeleteCole changes from the beginning of the book to the end because he learns that he is not the only one in the world.
Also Cole changes by being more calm while in the beginning violent and greedy.
He learns that life is full of bad things and good things. Not every thing is bad in this world.

Dear Double D,
ReplyDeleteWhat's up? How's it going? I'm good thanks for asking by the way, school is pretty tough actually, but I'm making it through! So anyways, here is my question and answer for TSB:
Why is Cole the way he is?
Cole is always angry and mad at people. He is the way he is because when he was a child, his father was just like him, angry, and always mad. So that's what made his dad beat Cole all the time. And later on, Cole got used to that, so he started beating people, like he did to Peter.
