The devil is in the details

That's just a phrase that people use, but sometimes I think we feel that way when we're writing. How evil it is to make us write down our thoughts AND to explain ourselves. EVIL!!! :) :) :)

So, I think that we have to get down to business now. How do you exactly add details to a paragraph? We know how to write a great topic sentence and now we need to fill in the details. Very simple:

1) State what your detail is.
2) Explain that detail.
3) Repeat this step for as many details as you have.

I would not suggest using more than three details for a paragraph. If you have too many, your paragraph will soon become hard to read. At that point, you might want to consider making a second paragraph.
