Dear Mr. Del Ferraro, Extra credit #9:What is the meaning of the last carving on the totem pole? In my opinion, the totem of anger resembled the circle of life. I think this because life is an adventure that never stops. When you have had your time of experience, somebody else gets the chance to have this fun experience. Also the circle of life is similar to recycling. When you're done with the plastic, it gets recycled for someone else to use.  Also, here is extra credit question #4: Why did Cole decide to stay longer on the island? Cole decided to stay on the island because he wanted to help Peter heal. Because of Peter's two suicide attempts, Cole feels that Peter needs to come to this island to learn the meaning of life and dance the anger dance. Also, if Cole heals Peter, Cole can let himself heal. This is why Cole wants Peter to heal.  Danielle
