Poetry Project for 9/20-9/21

Today and tomorrow you’ll be creating a poem that’s all about you, your personality, and shows off what makes you, well, you

1)  Choose one of these poem formats:

2) Fill out the blanks, then click on the "Create My..." button.

3) Copy the text into Microsoft Word.  Open it by clicking on the blue W on your dock.

4) Save the file like this:  DDF Self Poem.  In your case, you'll use your own initials. :)

4) Add your full name and the period you have English after your poem.
For example:  Mr. Del Ferraro, English 6-2.  Save again.

5)  Find pictures using Google image search.  Make sure you get the highest quality picture.  Save them to a picture folder in your Documents.  Add a few pictures into your Word document that has your poem on it.  Save again.

• After you insert or drag the picture into Word, double click it.
• A box will come up.  Click on "Layout" on the bottom left of the box.
• Select the "Square" option so that you can move the picture around wherever you'd like.
• Resize to fit nicely with your poem.

6) After you are done, do a spell check.  Look over your poem and give yourself final approval.  Call a teacher over to make sure that it's okay to print.  When we say it's okay, you can print.
