Picking Our Top Story for Personal Narratives

Today in class we rated our five stories just like we rated our brainstorms.  From there, we picked our favorite story with the help of our partners.  We finished this up by writing a paragraph that explains why you picked your story.  Here is the rating scale that we used and the things we need to consider when we pick our favorite story.

-    Means that you don't want to write this story

0   Means that you aren't sure, you might want to write the story

+ Means that you definitely would like to write the story

Things to consider:

1) Be sure that the story that you pick is clear in your mind.
2) Be sure that you have plenty of details to write about.
3) Be sure that you feel comfortable writing this story.
